Making Room

When Jesus gathered around a table in Luke 14, He told a story about a great banquet.

The invitations had gone out, but there was still room at the table.

So the host told his servants,

"Go out quickly into the streets and lanes... and bring them in... so that my house may be filled."

Those words have become a guiding vision for our ministry.

Every day, children and families impacted by foster care, adoption, and kinship care are navigating uncertainty, loss, and transition. Many feel unseen. Many are carrying burdens they were never meant to carry alone.

We believe the Church is called to make room.

Not only by opening our hearts—but by preparing a place where families can find practical support, authentic relationships, and the hope of Christ.

That is why we are stewarding the Family Resource Center.

What was once an empty church building is becoming a place of welcome once again.

Within these walls, churches will be equipped to care for vulnerable families. Foster, adoptive, and kinship families will find resources, encouragement, and trauma-informed support. Children will have safe spaces for sibling visits and family connections. Bible studies, prayer, and Christ-centered relationships will remind every person who walks through our doors that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God.

Every room has been designed with one purpose:

To make room for the people God is bringing in.

Just as Jesus invited people from the roads and countryside to His table, we believe He is still calling His Church to go, to welcome, and to prepare a place where every person can experience His love.

The Family Resource Center is our way of saying,

"There's still room at the table."

Preparing the table.

Welcoming the family.

Sharing the hope of Christ.

"Father to the fatherless, defender of widows-- this is God, whose dwelling is holy.  God places the lonely in families..." Psalm 68:5-6 NLT
