FAMILY MISSION FIELD
Family Mission Field exists to empower the local Church to care for children impacted by foster care and to support birth, foster, and adoptive families. We believe God designed the Church to be the answer to the foster care crisis—because not everyone is called to foster, but everyone is called to care.
HOW WE
LIVE OUT OUR MISSION
We serve the foster care community by equipping churches with practical tools, relational support, and Christ-centered programs that strengthen families and surround vulnerable children with care. Our work is carried out through four key initiatives:
CAREPORTAL

CarePortal connects local churches with real-time needs of children and families involved in the child welfare system. When a need is identified by a caseworker, churches are alerted and given the opportunity to respond in tangible ways—meeting physical needs, offering support, and building relationships.
Through CarePortal, the Church becomes an active, visible presence of hope, helping stabilize families, prevent removals when possible, and support foster and kinship placements. This platform allows everyday people to step into foster care ministry—even if they are not called to foster themselves.
FAMILIES COUNT
Families Count is a trauma-informed, parent-focused program designed to strengthen families and promote healthy parenting. Hosted in partnership with local churches, Families Count provides a welcoming environment where parents can learn practical skills, experience community, and grow in confidence.
By walking alongside parents with encouragement and support, Families Count helps reduce the risk of child maltreatment and fosters long-term family stability—demonstrating the love of Christ through consistent presence and care.
HERITAGE BUILDERS

Heritage Builders exists to invest in teens and young adults impacted by foster care, especially those preparing to age out of the system. Through mentoring, life-skills training, and spiritual guidance, participants are equipped to navigate adulthood with confidence and purpose.
Heritage Builders creates a safe, relational space where young people are seen, valued, and supported—helping them build a strong foundation for their future and a sense of belonging within the Church community.
Family Resource Center
Our Family Resource Center serves as a practical hub of support for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Through access to resources, supplies, training, and relational support, families are encouraged and equipped for the unique challenges they face.
The Resource Center also serves churches by helping them better understand foster care needs and by providing tools that enable them to care well for families in their congregation and community.
